What's Eyelash Extensions?
Eyelash extension is the practice of enhancing the length, thickness and fullness to one's natural eyelash. The extensions may consist of silk, mink, or synthetic hair. Methods of applying the extensions include full strips, clusters, individual one-by-one extensions placed either directly on the lash or closest to the lash line.
What's the right extension for me & How long will my lash extensions last?
Strips are a full band set of lashes applied as closely to the lash line as possible. Strips are a great add on to one's makeup for any event. Application time is quick and strips last at least one day.
Clusters are three lashes attached together applied closely to the lash line. Application time is a bit longer than strips. Clusters allows one to apply as little or as much desired. Clusters last at least 1-3 days.
Individual Lashes are single lashes added directly on the natural lash closest to the bottom without touching the skin. Individual lashes take up to 2 hours to apply for starter sets, and last about 4-8 weeks with proper care. Individual lash extensions are the ultimate choice for natural looking lashes. Imagine not needing to put on mascara, and waking with beautiful lashes. Imagine not worrying about your lashes after swimming, bathing, or showering.
Not all lashes are created the same that is why before applying lash extensions it is important to have a consultation to choose the right look, and lashes to apply. Taking care of your lashes for longer lasting extensions
-Avoid rubbing your eyes or pulling on your lashes.
-Avoid using mascara, it can shorten the life of your eyelash extensions. If you decide to use mascara apply it only to the tip of your lashes, preferably a water washable mascara.
-Do not use an eyelash curler on your extensions.
-Do use a lash brush to groom your lashes from the center up not from the root up.
-Be careful when showering to not let the shower beat down on your lashes and always lightly pat your extensions dry.
-Avoid all oil based products on or around your eyes as they may break down the adhesive band of your extensions.
